Tickets On Sale Now for February / March 2021
Three’s Theatre Company paired up with OutsideIn and Simon Community NI to bring you These Streets – 2 stories, 2 journeys around the city.
“Cities are strange aren’t they? I mean look around you, look how much there is in one building - art galleries, theatres, a coffee shop, the all important bar, no matter what you want to do with your day you can probably do it here or within spitting distance anyway. Sure look, you can have a pray, an overcomplicated coffee, a salad, an education and all in the one square”
See Belfast from another perspective.
See why things need to change.
After interviewing people who have and are currently experiencing homelessness their stories have been collaborated to create two tales of the city.

During 2020’s pandemic we really couldn’t be putting 7 people in an en-suite of a hotel bedroom in Belfast or 28 people in a lift… so we decided to relive some of our favourite experiences and share them with you. Check out Theatre On Your Sofa — all you need is your headphones and a little imagination.
Now For The North is back for its third and final instalment. The Unfinished Revolution!
6-7th March at The MAC for International Women’s Day.
Three’s Theatre Company first created this production for the anniversary of the Repeal in May 2019 at The Lyric and after it’s success and SOLD OUT run we built it further, explored more stories and brought the new version to The MAC for a run in September for The Rally For a Choice and International Safe Abortion Day.
With all the changes in the law and abortion now legalised in Northern Ireland 👏👏 we are hoping it will be accessible from March - so no pregnant person will ever have to travel for health care.
We have updated some of the scripts and logistics and added a few new scenes to this final instalment of Now For The North, with the aim of reducing the stigma surrounding abortion.
10% of ticket sales will go to Alliance For Choice so they can continue to do great work educating the public an helping pregnant people seek health care and advice.
Whether you missed it the first and second time, or you caught it and found it an important experience - this will be your last chance to see Now For The North.

Our Environmental Christmas Party
Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd December 2019
When the fire and mulled wine by the TV isn’t cutting it and you’ve run out of Blue Planet to watch...let Three's Theatre Company warm you up this winter with evening that was possibly once recommended by David Attenborough himself and all the turtles in the sea.
We partied inside the Big Top at Writers Square as we teamed up with Tumble Circus just for you.
We put the ‘sexy in the incorrect spelling of ‘sustainability’. Let us entertain you for the evening in a way that's hot...without heating up the planet.
We had...
- Drag Queens bedecked in Biodegradable Glitter
- Comedy Burlesque Dancers in Organic Cotton only.
- Acrobats that won’t leave you hanging!
- Jugglers doing things with balls you've never seen before 😉
- And so much more, without a plastic straw in sight!
You could even get yummy ‘Hot Vegan Street Food’ by Curated Kitchen!
Don't do the sad office party, run away with the circus instead!

“You don’t know me; talk to me; ask me; look me in the f***ing eye,” the man inside my head implores. He’s gentle, never preachy or judgemental. The story circles back as it concludes, the two ends not quite meeting, but with a sense that there is hope, relationships are being restored, security has been re-established.

28 women leave NI each week, crossing the waters seeking treatment. Behind every statistic is a real woman.
Now For The North is a site-specific, immersive piece of “choice” theatre from Three’s Theatre Company. You'll journey around the MAC exploring reproductive rights in Northern Ireland - you'd normally get a choice of the journey to take, but as NI women don't have that option, Three's will choose for you.
"We are here to speak out and tell the stories. Behind every statistic there is a woman*... A real woman with a life, passions, commitments, a family and friends. A woman who is not being supported by their government, a woman who must travel to receive the medical help they need.
We are not ashamed, we will stand for our sisters, our mothers, our grandmothers, our cousins, our friends. Northern Ireland, We Want Change".
- Anna Leckey, Artistic Director, Three's Theatre Company
Reviews
“Full of empathy, sensitivity and surprisingly enough, humour, Three’s Theatre Company highlights just how far Northern Ireland has to go before catching up.”
- Pastie Bap
“It's an astonishing performance, one of many suffusing and supplementing an atmosphere as heartwarming as it is heartbreaking.”
- Simon Fallaha
“Now for the North has poise and tact, believing in the power of listening the thoughts and feelings of relatable people who are making difficult choices in less than ideal circumstances to understand rather than judge them, without any need to resort to preaching blunt messages or relying on techniques that simply shock-for-effect.”
- Alan in Belfast

We created a piece of physical theatre in just 3 days and got 3 writers to put a narrative to our work.
This show is really 3 productions occurring simultaneously and you only get to experience one.

“Jealousy, paranoia, dissatisfaction, live music and a beautiful dance to finish (Lizi Watt and Gerard Kelly) under the skillful control of artistic director Anna Leckey and her enthusiastic team. Seventeen creatives, one hotel, many stories, even more imaginations.” Alan in Belfast
“Walking into the courtyard at Belfast’s gorgeous Bullitt Hotel we are met by Anna Lecky, Date Show: After Dark’s artistic director and producer who directs us towards a romantic nook and asks us to wait for our date before adding a swift, “You look amazing tonight, by the way.” There’s a lot of eye contact, some softly spoken words, and even more flirting – and the show hasn’t even started yet – so it’s certainly no coincidence that the trepidation felt before attending Three’s Theatre Company’s Date Show: After Dark was something akin to the nerves felt before a first date.” Pastie Bap

What does it sound like inside your head?
What does it sound like inside someone else's head?
Why is it so loud at this silent retreat?
A physical theatre production where the audience had the freedom to listen to the internal thoughts of three characters at a silent retreat. The journey through the play was completely up to them as they changed channel on the silent disco headphones throughout.
